This year, in 2025, we are continuing our work with the Ancahuasi District, the Cusco region of Peru. While 33 Buckets has always considered community-driven projects as a complete necessity, we have implemented a new strategy for ensuring human-cented solutions that are tailored to the needs, desires, and lifestyles of each community. Leveraging our local partnerships, we support community leaders in developing a proposal that outlines their greatest needs, perspectives, and other crucial information. This proposal is then submitted to 33 Buckets for feedback, evaluation, and ultimately a response detailing how we believe we can support their goals. Our team of internal and external partners are currently undergoing this iterative process to best determine how 33 Buckets can improve lives, through clean water, in the Anahuasi District. The potential solutions range from basic solutions, like securing critical infrastructure with fencing/gates to more intensive rehabilitation and maintenance of water infrastructure.
